With Canva increasing in popularity among Envato users over the past year, and many of our users now seeking assets from within Canva itself, we’re making it easier for our subscribers to access their premium assets without leaving the Canva editor.

1. Access the Envato’s Photo and Icon Libraries Within Canva
Want to import a photo from Envato to your Canva project? No need to leave the platform! Simply connect your Envato paid subscription for unlimited downloads to drag and drop premium photos and SVG icons (without watermarks) into your designs.
2. Find Envato Icons Quickly & Easily Within Canva
Our icon asset search enables Canva users to find and import high-res vector and SVG icons from Envato’s library of 1M+ icon assets in just a few clicks! There’s no need to look through packs – we’ve enabled the Canva app to search through individual icons.

Once you have generated your new icon, choose the format from a range of variations: transparent background, SVG, or PNG. Once you’ve added the icon to your project, you can edit the colors within the Canva editor.
How to Install and Use Envato’s Canva App
Envato’s Canva App is hosted in the official Canva “apps marketplace,” much like Adobe Exchange for Envato’s Premiere Pro Extension and the WordPress plugin directory for the Envato WordPress Extension. Ensure you are signed into your paid Envato account for the smoothest flow.
Installing the Envato App
- Sign in to Canva, either your free or Pro account (The Envato app will work on both)
- From the homepage, navigate to Apps, or from within a project, see the left-hand side menu
- Search “Envato” and choose to use in an existing or new design
- Tap “Connect account” to connect your paid Envato subscription
- Tap “Connect” and a new browser window will open where you can follow the prompts
- Once connected, return to Canva. You can now search and select both photos and icons for your project.
Adding Envato Photos to Your Projects
If connected successfully, watermarks will be removed from your selected photos once they load in your design. These photos will then be added to your commercially licensed downloads in your Envato Account.
Generating Icons for Your Projects
- Navigate to the All or Icons tab and click the purple “Generate your own icon” button.
- Select from over 30 styles of icons
- Once you have selected your preferred style, enter the keyword into the search box
- Icons matching your selected style & keyword will be generated
- Clicking on an icon will open various options, including SVG, no background, or PNG variations
- Dragging the icon by clicking “insert icon into Canva” will add the icon to your project.
