He was sitting on a bench in the park, staring up at the distant sky. Around him people raced like pawns on the chessboard of life. The noise of the city, the crowd, the rush - it all seemed like a whirlwind revolving around its fixed axis.

He thought about the nature of time. How strange - it would seem that seconds tick evenly, minutes turn into hours, and days follow nights. But inside it was different. Life revolved like a merry-go-round, turning him upside down, mixing joy and sadness, hope and disappointment.

Sometimes he felt that his life was just one moment, lost in the endless stream of time. But in this moment all his emotions, experience, achievements and losses are hidden. And each new spin, each turn of the carousel, brought new challenges and opportunities.
